Admission Application
Applications for the Master's Degree will be carried out on-line through our admissions application. Before starting the admissions process, we recommend you read the following information and follow the instructions provided at Admission step by step:
Specific access and admission requirements
To apply for admission to the Master's Degree in Pharmacological Research, a higher qualification (degree) is required in either Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Veterinary Science, Nursing, Psychology or other similar qualifications in Health Sciences. Students must accredit having B2 level of English or equivalent.
In addition to the required documents for applications to any Master's Degree at UAM, a letter must be written and sent to the Master's Degree Access Committee, briefly outlining why you would like to take this University Master’s Degree in Pharmacological Research.
Documents to attach to applications
Mandatory documents:
- ID Card / Passport
- Academic certificate of degree study qualifications (1)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Declaration of average grade (2) [Mandatory for students who have not taken their access studies at UAM]
- Letter of intention.
- Accreditation of B2 level of English or equivalent.
(1) The academic transcript must be translated if it is not in the Spanish language. It will not be necessary to translate documents if they are in English, French, Italian or Portuguese.
In the case of having taken Master’s/Doctoral studies, we recommend including them as additional documents to your application.
(2) If you have studied in Spain, you should attach a Certificate showing the average grade (on a scale of 0 to 10). If you have already studied at UAM, you will not need to submit this certificate.
If you have studied outside of Spain, you will need to submit the average grade equivalence issued by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (see section “related links”).
Admission Criteria
The assessment criteria for acceptance on the University Master's Degree in Pharmacological Research include:

Curriculum Vitae, highlighting any tasks previously carried out by candidates in relation to Biomedicine research. Any research grants and presentations or work, and speeches at conferences and/or publications in scientific journals will be especially rated. |

Order of preference of Master’s courses (if MOIF is rated as the first option or if you are one of the first to be selected, this will be positively rated) |

If deemed appropriate, the Access Committee may hold personal interviews with candidates.
Other requirements for students with non-EU qualifications
When you have been notified about your acceptance on the Master's Degree, and your acceptance is based on a university qualification issued by a higher education institution not belonging to the EHEA, you will need to legalize the qualification via diplomatic channels in order to formalize registration, or by means of a “Hague Convention Apostille”.
