Study Grants and Support

Autonomous University of Madrid offers a number of grants and support for taking Master’s degrees in conjunction with different institutions. We are going to tell you how to access the main information on grants and specific support for these studies.

Bear in mind that the UAM’s Grants information website publishes information about many other grants and support. If you are interested in this subject, take the time to peruse them and find the ones that best suit your needs.

  1. UAM Grants

SUPPORT AND AWARDS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

  • Call for grants for UAM Master’s degree studies: grants and support for students with good academic performance, registered on official Master’s degrees at UAM, consisting of an exemption of 50% of the registration fees.   • Call for grants to Promote Research in UAM Master’s degree studies: grants and support for students who start or site official Master’s degrees at UAM aimed at taking doctoral theses, consisting of exemption of 100% of the registration fees and a grant for the monthly amount of €400 for 11 months. UAM GRANTS FOR STUDENT INTERNATIONALISATION

  • Mobility grants: financial mobility grants for studying at institutions outside the EU with which UAM holds agreements. The list of open calls is on the website MOBILITY FOR UAM STUDENTS.
  • Grants for internationalization activities: Financial grants for students who undertake activities that contribute to the internationalization of UAM. All the information can be found at INTERNATIONALIZATION FOR UAM STUDENTS.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC GRANTS

  • UAM students grants charged to the Social Fund: Student grants for official UAM qualifications whose economic, social and/or family situation could affect the continuation of their studies. The information about application deadlines and requirements can be accessed at Study Grants and Support section. Select AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MADRID from the organization list.
  • Grants for refugee students and/or asylum applicants: for students registered at UAM who have the status of refugee or application for asylum and need support to continue or start their studies. Further information at Study Grants and Support.

EXTERNAL CURRICULAR INTERNSHIPS

Financial grants for carrying out external curricular internships at UAM Departments/Services/Units for postgraduate students. The grant is 600 Euros per month with a weekly commitment of 25 hours. Check calls at the External Internship Office

  1. Grants with support by other institutions

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

  • General grants, for students of higher education.
  • Collaboration grants.

To access information about these grant calls, you should enter the Grants and Support website and select the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION from the list.

ERASMUS PROGRAM

  • Call for student mobility within the framework of the ERASMUS program to sit Master’s degree studies. Designed for UAM students who want to take their studies at universities outside of Spain. More information about the different grant calls at International Mobility.

RAMÓN ARECES FOUNDATION

  • Grants funded by the Ramón Areces Foundation for Master’s Degree Studies on the Molecular Biosciences Postgraduate Program at UAM: Molecular Biomedicine, Biotechnology and Biomolecules and Cellular Dynamics: The calls for these grants are published on the Grants and Support website. You should choose “Others” in the Organization.

CAROLINA FOUNDATION

  • Carolina Foundation Grants: These grants are allocated to foreign students who want to study certain Master’s degrees at UAM. The calls for these grants are published on the Grants and Support website. You should choose “Others” in the Organization.

EUROPA HISPÁNICA STUDIES CENTER

  • The Europa Hispánica Studies Center has signed an agreement with UAM, by means of which it undertakes to fund a complete first registration grant on the University Master’s Degree in the History of Art of the Modern Age. Classical Tradition and the Globalized World for Spanish and EU Community resident students. Students who wish to be awarded this grant must have an average grade of Distinction or higher in their academic transcript, an equivalent certificate to the B2 English level or higher and must be fully registered on the Master’s degree.
