Average grade declaration

When submitting your Master’s degree application on-line, the academic transcript or certificate your send must state an average grade on a scale of 0 to 10.

UAM students:

If you are entitled to access the degree as a UAM student, you will not need to include your average grade or attach any other documents regarding this matter, since our software will import the relevant data from your files.

Students from other Spanish universities:

If your degree qualification entitling your access to the Master’s degree is issued by a Spanish university other than UAM, you will need to supply the official average grade certificate issued by the university. You can send the certificate you obtain from the digital platform. You will not need to send this certificate if your average grade is stated on your general academic transcript.

NOTE: If the average grade on your transcript is on a scale of 1 to 4, you will need to ask your university for an average grade on a numerical scale from 1 to 10. If the university in question does not provide it, you can use the Scale Equivalence Table available in the downloads section.

Students who have taken their access studies abroad:

If you have studied abroad, you will need to supply the Average grade declaration of equivalence converted to the Spanish system. This equivalence is accredited via an official certificate issued by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

You can find the Procedure for access to the equivalence declaration on the website Equivalence of average grades for university studies taken abroad (Link) by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

There is an e-mail address for any doubts and queries you may have: notamedia.uni@universidades.gob.es

After obtaining your declaration of equivalence for your grades from the Ministry (bear in mind that the draft prior to issue of the certificate will not be valid), you should upload it in digital format in the average grade declaration section in your application via the Sigma software.
