Authorisation by CEDT

The Doctoral Thesis Equivalence and Defence Committee (CEDT) is responsible for, based on the documentation and observations submitted, giving final authorisation for the defence of the thesis and approving the examining board that will assess it.

EDUAM will notify the agreement to the members of the examining board, the PhD student, their supervisor(s) and tutor, and the coordination of the PhD Programme.

Once the notification has been received, the thesis must be defended within six months.

IMPORTANT. In order to facilitate the attendance and participation of the university community in the defence ceremony, it is an essential requirement that the date of the defence is announced sufficiently in advance on the EDUAM website. Failure to notify the reading date by the secretaly of the examining boar will mean that, in the absence of a public announcement, the thesis cannot be defended.
