CIVIS
CIVIS, a European Civic University, is an alliance made up of eleven leading European universities that aims to create a unique European inter-university campus that allows you to study, research or work at any of these institutions as if you were at your home university.
In addition to the UAM, members of the CIVIS alliance are the University of Aix-Marseille, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Free University of Brussels, the University of Bucharest, La Sapienza in Rome, Stockholm University, the Eberhard-Karl University of Tübingen, University of Glasgow, Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and University of Lausanne.
ANNOUNCEMENT : We are seeking motivated students or student associations to co-organize with ULB students two potential upcoming events at ULB (under the approval of the CIVIS student-led projects call ending end of October):
-
African Market: A multi-day event at ULB celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the African continent. This space will showcase the african culture through gastronomy, art, music, conferences, debates, with local and regional partners. It’s a unique opportunity to discover and explore African heritage through collaboration and exchange with the collaborations of other European and African universities members of the CIVIS alliance.
-
Festijuste: A three-day festival at ULB focused on ecology, social justice, and solidarity economy. With workshops, conferences, and contributions from external stakeholders, this festival highlights students' commitment to tackling climate change, questioning current democratic systems, and exploring creative solutions for a sustainable future. Last year’s edition welcomed over 300 participants and was a real success, we want now to give it a European dimension.
