The Coordinator or the Academic Committee of each of the doctoral programmes will select the papers that will represent each of them in the joint poster exhibition on Friday, from 10:00 to 12:30 in the Plaza Mayor of the Cantoblanco campus.

If you are interested in participating in this activity, please complete the following FORM, which will be operative until 24 April 2025.

In the previous form you must include an abstract of the communication that you intend to present as a poster in this joint session. To do so, please complete the following document  "Poster abstract template", following the instructions given therein (the size must be less than 10 MB). Save it in PDF FORMAT and upload it to the form before the deadline. The PD coordinators will select the representative posters of each PD. The abstracts of the selected papers will be included in the UAM Doctoral Week book (only in digital format, there will be no printed version).

Participation in this activity will be certified and may be included in the activities document.

General instructions

Please find below some basic information to be taken into account:

• The design of the poster (font and font size, spacing, etc.) is free.
• Recommended poster size: DIN A1 in portrait orientation (approximately 59.4 cm wide x 84.1 cm high). This is the size that guarantees that all posters can be displayed in the space provided.
• EDUAM will cover the cost of printing the posters that fit this size, provided that the instructions that will be given after the selection of the posters participating in the session are followed.
• For posters already printed that are larger than this size, they can be submitted as long as they do not exceed DIN A0 size (84.1 x 118.9 cm). As the number of spaces for these larger posters is limited, permission must be requested from the organising committee (mail to semana.doctorado@uam.es ) before Tuesday 20 May for the proper organisation of the session.

Poster display: 30 May 2025, starting at 9:30 am. Doctoral students presenting posters are expected to be available for consultation with their posters at the following times:

• Even-numbered posters, from 10:45 to 11:30
• Odd-numbered posters, from 11:30 to 12:15
• Poster collection: 12:15 to 12:30

 

Prize for the best posters

Among the posters participating in the exhibition, the best ones will be awarded, in the opinion of the participants, based on their own criteria. The call for entries for the best poster awards can be found in the download area.

• First prize: 300 €
• Second prize: 200 €
• Three runners-up prizes: 100 €.
