The program begins with theoretical work at UAM campus (Madrid) during the first 5 days that provides a foundation for projects and an understanding of the challenges of daily life in urban and rural Spain. During the second week, participants will learn by doing, as they interact with key players of the community, explore examples of sustainable practices in the town of Aínsa. Participants come away with a strong grasp of Spanish recent developments affecting its preservation of tradition and its challenges to introduce sustainable development goals while also enhancing their Spanish language fluency.
