Resumen curriculum vitae

I am currently pursuing my PhD at the IFIMAC Research Centre at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), focusing on the area of spintronics. My research involves studying the effects of electric fields on the interfaces of thin-film heterostructures, particularly how they influence Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interactions (DMI) at room temperature. My work aims to document changes in the sign and magnitude of DMI, as well as the dynamics of domain walls and skyrmions. Additionally, I am exploring the role of orbital interactions in heterostructures, including the accumulation of orbital angular momentum, the generation of orbital currents, and the potential enhancement of spin-orbit torques through these currents. Before my time at UAM, I engaged in several research projects at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. My work there included the substrate termination of SrTiO3 and LaAlO3 for the growth of multilayer thin films, and the characterization of these films using techniques like Pulsed Laser Deposition. My focus extended to the study of magnetic oxides for multifunctional applications and the exploration of interfacial topological effects. My experience includes proficiency in a range of material characterization techniques such as Sputtering, VSM-SQUID, PPMS, XRD, XRR, and RHEED systems.

My research interests are centered on the practical applications of experimental condensed matter physics, including the development of functional ultrathin metal oxide thin films and advancements in nanoscale electronics. My future goals include enhancing the understanding of ferroelectric control mechanisms in magnetic textures and investigating the properties of domain wall motion at room temperature.
