Master’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences [Speciality in Training and Sports Performance / Innovation and Quality in Physical Education / Physical Activity and Health]

  • The Masters in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences offers students advanced training in three specific areas that comprise training specialisms, so that the student can then opt to specialize in the area that most fits in with their training interests, whether this be Training and Sports Performance, Innovation and Quality in Physical Education or Physical Activity and Health. The possibility to specialize in one of these areas allows graduates to increase their training and

research and professional skills considerably in the area chosen. This means that upon completion of the Master’s degree, students can contribute towards advances in the theoretical and practical knowledge of their area of expertise, communicate with rigor and fluency the results of their research work and innovations from an academic perspective, and assess and critically analyze problematic situations in their area of expertise. In summary, the Master’s degree offers graduates from other courses in the field of physical activity and sport the possibility to improve their employment and academic prospects, as well as their opportunities for professional development in the respective field of knowledge.

If students should wish to continue their studies further with a view to conducting research in their chosen area of expertise, or any other area in the field of physical activity and sport, this Master’s degree will have given them the basic research skills needed to undertake a Doctorate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
