International Teaching Week 2020 at TalTech

We are pleased to invite guest lecturers from our partner universities to participate in International Week for academic staff at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) that takes place from April 20 to April 24, 2020.

Invitation to 9th International Staff Training Week at Riga Technical University

Riga Technical University is pleased to announce its 9th International Staff Training Week, which will take place from 25 May to May 29, 2020 in Riga, Latvia. The five-day program consists of workshops, presentations and social events.

For the first time the program is designed both for international officers and staff dealing with student services at university.

The international officers have to be involved in the daily work of Erasmus+ KA103 projects. Meanwhile, there will be a parallel program for participants whose professional field is connected to providing support and services to students and this program includes topics like psychological support, career counselling, integration of foreign students, and cooperation with labor market.

The maximum number of participants is 40.

The participation fee is 50 euros.

Deadline for application is 28 February 2020.

Staff Week about Intercultural Communication - apply until March 1st

You can apply for a participation at our 6th International Week - Intercultural Communication in Practice at the University of Hildesheim until March 1st.

We did have a technical issue with the application form but it's been solved this morning.

So join us for a wonderful week to learn more about intercultural communication and how to handle difficult intercultural situations in your daily work.

Who?

  • This staff week is designed for representatives of universities worldwide, who are interested in learning more about Hildesheim, its
  • University and intercultural communication in practice. Please note that a maximum number of 2 representatives of the same University can take part.

What?

Together we would like to discuss topics around intercultural communication such as
o Intercultural differences in communication style
o Intercultural Matters in the Classroom
o How to handle mental health problems of international students – good practice

As in the past, we will arrange a couple of cultural events and visits, e.g. an intercultural training, a trip to Brunswick as well as a visit of the world

Freie Universitaet Staff Training Week 2020, June 8-12, 2020

It is with great pleasure that we herewith invite you to join our International Staff Training Week 2020, which will

take place from June 8 to June 12, 2020.

We are happy to announce that in 2020, we will offer five parallel programs full of variety - there will be workshops,

group events, tours, presentations, sportive activities, and, of course, time to connect and network.

The participation fee is 100 € per participant, which includes a welcome package, five lunches and coffee breaks, a summer reception

and a joint boat trip. You are kindly asked to cover the participation fee as well as other expenses for travel, accommodation and dinner

by using Erasmus+ training mobility grants.

Universitatea de Vest din Timişoara/ West University of Timișoara is very pleased to announce its seventh edition of the Erasmus Staff TrainingWeek: 6th-10th April 2020.

Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara (UVT) is the main higher education and research center in Western Romania. Intercultural Staff Training at ELTE, 8-12 June 2020

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the upcoming Intercultural Staff Training 2020 of Eötvös Loránd University, organized by the Department of Erasmus+ & International Programmes and the Institute of Intercultural Psychology and Education (IIPE), Faculty of Education and Psychology IS NOW OPEN.

The training will be held from 8th to 12th June 2020 and targeted mainly at staff members of higher education institutions who work with international students and staff on a day-to-day basis and have at least one year of work experience in this area.

The training program aims to promote intercultural skills and competencies especially for those who engage in intercultural encounters in their everyday work and feel that they need to further develop their skills to be more successful.

Those who participate in the whole training receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end.

The participation fee is 150 EUR, which includes the complimentary lunch of the first day, welcome package, work materials, cultural programs, coffee breaks, and farewell dinner.

The application deadline is 16th February 2020.

UIBs Staff mobility Week 2020

The University of Bergen hereby announces its tenth Staff Mobility Week.  It will take place in Bergen in week 24, starting Monday the 8th of June and ending Friday 12th

This year we will offer a program with four tracks for administrative and tech. university staff: 

  1. Climate group: Climate Neutral University  

  2. Finance group: The Finance Function in Transformation 

  3. Library group: A Modern University Library 

  4. Student administration group: Inclusion of Students and Staff  

     

    This is the first time we offer a Climate group and we hope this important issue will attract interest from a wide specter of staff.  This group targets employees working with climate change issues within relevant fields (economy, technology, communication, energy +), or other employees who have a special interest in reducing their respective universities carbon footprint. 

    Universities contributes with knowledge through research, but we also need to act accordingly and even become beacons for climate change in the wider society. We now know that business-as-usual will no longer be sufficient if we want change, so how can universities with all their staff and students improve their activities in order to become climate neutral?  

    The other groups are targeting people with experience and/or working in the field of Finances, Library or Student administration. However, if your field of work, or interest, is different from this, please explain your motivation in your application and you might be accepted for the group you like.  

    The application deadline for SMW-20 is March 1. 2020. 

    We hope to welcome approximately 45 participants in total, around 12 persons in each track. We will normally not admit more than one person per partner-university per track.

First International Staff Week - Lorraine INP (Université de Lorraine, F NANCY43)

We are pleased to invite you to the First International Staff Week organized by Lorraine INP, the department of the Engineering schools of the Université de Lorraine ( France).

The goal of this Staff Week is to create a discussion about perspectives on teaching and learning in higher engineering education and to share experiences and best practices on international partnership.

This will be the opportunity to learn more about the management of International Office, to participate in discussion about mobility programs, services offered at our University, visits of schools and Research laboratories and also meet your international partners.
