In line with the adjustments made to the qualifications offered to meet EHEA guidelines, the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid has set up control measures to monitor its activity as a higher education institution. This has been done to ensure its continual improvement and evolution.
The teaching quality and development of the degree programmes will be monitored though the Internal Quality Guarantee System (SGIC) which is explored in further detail in the information on each of the degree programmes. Each document provides a description of the functions, procedures and operating mechanisms of the participants in the process. The ultimate aim of the Internal Quality Guarantee System is to guarantee the continual improvement of the components of each of the degree programmes taught in the Faculty.
The Faculty of Medicine, as an integral part of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, must undergo an external audit of its degree programmes. This control measure is carried out regularly by the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d following a general protocol using the GATACA platform.
