Trabajo Fin de Máster

Unravelling of innovative therapies to overcome resistance to antitumour therapies

Línea de investigación

Translational cancer research.

Descripción

According to World Health Organization, one in 6 people will develop cancer during their lifetime. Therefore, understanding in detail, the biological and molecular determinants of cancer progression and the response to diverse anti-cancer therapeutic approaches is one of the main priorities in the current oncology. In this regard, our lab is focused on deciphering new resistance mechanisms to antitherapy resistance and developing innovative therapeutic approaches for improving the personalized treatment and follow up of breast and gynecological cancer patients. We plan a multidisciplinary project combining the identification of prognostic and predictive biomarkers in cancer cells, the characterization of their role in comprehensive in vitro (with several mouse/human cell models) applying over-expression and CRISPCap9 approaches for understanding the role of these biomarkers in cancer, studying new treatments, especially targeted therapies and/or immunotherapy. Our group belongs to the most relevant cooperative networks focalized on cancer research and a strong collaboration with different hospitals facilitating a multidisciplinary formation of the TFM student incorporated to our group.
