Attendance to Seminars Teófilo Hernando of Drug I+D and other research seminars

Seminars Teófilo Hernando of Drug I+D are organized by the Department of Farmacología in the UAM/Research Institute Teófilo Hernando. These seminars are presented regularly, usually twice a month, by Spanish and foreign scientists. The seminars, with 60 min in length, aim to stimulate the contact of the students with relevant scientists working in different areas of biology and medicine. They allow for updating the latest findings in different scientific fields, while promoting research interactions and potential collaborations. Furthermore, they facilitate brainstorming and the exchange of ideas between scientists with complementary knowledge and methodologies.

On the other hand, the seminars will markedly contribute to the formation of young researchers, who must be familiar with different research strategies and the implementation of the scientific method in different areas of biology and medicine.

In addition, to the Seminars Teófilo Hernando, the doctoral candidates will be encouraged to attend other research seminars regularly organized by:

- Other Departments and Teaching Clinical Units from the Faculty of Medicine.

- UAM/CSIC research centers, including the Institute for Biomedical Research (Instituto de Investigaciones Biológicas), Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology Centre (Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa) or the National Biotechnology Centre (Centro Nacional de Biotecnología), - Research centres from ISCIII (Instituto de Salud Carlos III), such as the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares, CNIC) and the National Centre for Oncologic Research (Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas, CNIO).

- Other research-based institutions.

Activity accreditation

Assistance to Seminars Teófilo Hernando of Drug I+D will be recorded by the organizers. For all other seminars, the students should request the corresponding participation certificate from the organizers. The certificates must be attached to the Training Activities Document (Documento de Actividades del Doctorando) to be uplodaded in SIGMA.
