Full Professor of Greek History (2007) and Director of the Laboratory for Greek Epigraphy at the Università Ca´Foscari di Venezia (2007). PhD in Ancient History from the Université Lumière Lyon II (1988) and PhD in Languages, History and Civilisation of Ancient World form the Università di Bologna (1989). Her main research areas are: Ancient History, Ancient Greece, Epigraphy and Northwest Greece. She has been member of different scientific committees: APELLA; Institut des Sciences et Techniques de l´Antiquité, belonging to the Université de Franche-Comté (since 1988); European Reference Index for the Humanities Project (2005-2008); Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (since 2006); Religion und Politik in den Kulturen der Vormoderne und Moderne, research group of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (2009-2010); International Advisory Committee (IAC), Marie Curie M4HUMAN, Gerda Henkel Foundation program (2011-2015); Copenhagen Associations Project (2013-2015); Excavations of the Roman Forum at Butrint (since 2015). She belongs to the following editorial scientific committees: Antichistica (ECF Ca' Foscari - Digital Publishing), Antiquitas - Studi storici su società e diritti dell'Antichità (Edizioni dell’Orso), Vestnik drevnej Istorii, Erga-Logoi y Aristonothos (the last two are online journals), Akademija Nauk SSSR, Institut Vseobscej Istorii. She has carried out evaluator tasks at: EC, Vth-VIth Framework Programme; Austrian Science Found, Research Promotion Foundation (Cyprus), University of Cyprus, DAAD, Gerda Henkel Foundation, Dahlem Research School (Freie Universität Berlin). She has taken part in PRIN (Research Projects of the Italian Ministero dell´Università e della Ricerca) both as a member (1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005) and as coordinator (2007, 2009). She has also coordinated the European Socrates Master CDA “The Archaeology and Dynamics of Writing”, and among others, the research project “AXON, An Italian Selection of Greek Historical Inscriptions”, at Università di Venezia.
