The Doctoral Schools of the University of Alcalá (UAH), the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) jointly announce the Eighth Contest " Thesis in 3 minutes” in order challenge their doctoral students to present their research in a short amount of time, using simple and intelligible language that can reach the general public. Its objective is to bring the work of trainee researchers closer to society in order to instill in them an interest in popularizing and spreading science.

1. Doctoral students who are at least in their second training course of a Doctoral Program, in one of the five organizing universities, and have passed at least one annual evaluation are elegible for participating.

2. At the time of requesting participation in the contest, candidates must have the approval of their Doctoral Thesis Director. When the signatures of the directors are not digital, they must be certififec by forwarding the email where the director attaches the document. You must save the email in pdf and attach the file. Screenshots are not accepted.

3. The application form must be sent to the email address: doctorado.gestion@uam.es indicating in the subject: Thesis in 3 minutes.

Deadline: from  March 11th, 2024 until 15th April 2024. The deadline will close from 11:59 p.m. on April 15th, so emails received after 12:00 a.m., peninsular time Spain, will be excluded.
