Anne Schmitz has been a professor at the Department of Financiación e Investigación Comercial of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since October 2015. She has a PhD in Economics and Business with an International Doctorate Mention (October 2019). She also holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Management (2014) and a Diploma in Tourism (2011) from the same university.
Her main research lines focus on eHealth and telemedicine applications and the repercussions of digitization on the health care sector. She has published her work in national and international books and journals and is a speaker at seminars, conferences and congresses both inside and outside Spain.
Since September 2017, she is responsible of coordinating the internship program of the Master in Marketing Management. She has been a member of the Faculty Board and several commissions of the Faculty of Economic and Business Administration. She has realized a research stay at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf (Germany) and has received the XI 3M Foundation Award for the best project in Science and Technology at the XI edition of the CIADE-UAM Entrepreneur Award with the project “ Medical Advisor”, together with Ana M Díaz Martín and Samuel Antuña Antuña in 2014.
