The goal of the Master’s in Accounting, Auditing and their Effects on Capital Markets is to train professionals in knowledge and competencies to exercise the official profession of “Auditor” and to design and develop research on topics related to financial-accounting information and capital markets.
Public auditing is a regulated profession in the EU and one with great potential, particularly in the Region of Madrid, where the most important financial service companies in Spain are located.
The Master's in Accounting, Auditing and Capital Markets has a clearly international vocation. It is an official degree recognized throughout the EU. The MAAECM was planned taking into account all of the recommendations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the International Federation of Accountants concerning the competencies needed to exercise the profession of Auditor.
Instruction in the Master’s in Accounting, Auditing and Capital Markets is delivered by faculty from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, as well as invited Spanish and foreign guest professors and specialist professional experts in material, seminars, and lectures.
The students in the Master’s in Accounting, Auditing and Capital Markets will do four months of company internships in leading firms. They receive a stipend for their work: 550 EUR for the academic year 2011-2012.
The Master’s in Accounting, Auditing and Capital Markets is offered on the morning schedule and requires full-time study.
The Web del MACAM will specific publish information, documentation and publications for the Master’s students.
