For the sixth consecutive year, the University-Enterprise Foundation of Madrid (FUE) and the Junior Achievement Foundation have set in motion the inter-university competition Startup Programme. The objectives of that educative programme are to promote entrepreneurship and to encourage the entrepreneurs’ training within universities through the realisation of a business plan.
So far, 19 Spanish universities, among which it is the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, have confirmed their participation in the competition Startup Programme. The projects selected to participate in the programme will develop their business plan receiving guidance, mentoring and business training. For that, the FUE and the Junior Achievement Foundation will have the collaboration of volunteers from the business sector of the participating universities, and volunteers from both Foundations as well. These volunteers will assume the monitoring of the different business projects till the end of the completion of the business plan.
More than 300 students of 20 universities participated in the first five editions of the programme with 187 business projects, of which 10% have become real enterprises and employ more than 70 professionals.
Students interested in participating in the programme can consult the bases of the competition and request their participation here: www.startupprogramme.es. The deadline for applications is the next Friday, 29 November, 2013.
