Marta Iñiguez de Heredia es doctora en Relaciones Internacionales por la Universidad London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Antes de su incorporación al Departamento de Ciencia Política y Relaciones Internacionales en la UAM, Marta era Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow en el Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. Ha impartido docencia en Reino Unido, Francia y Australia, incluyendo la Universidad de Cambridge, la LSE, Queen Mary University, Queen’s University, Rouen (Neoma) Business School, Deakin University y La Trobe University. Su investigación se encuentra a caballo entre los estudios de paz y conflicto, estudios africanos, la sociología histórica y la teoría práctica de las Relaciones Internacionales. Desde este enfoque, algunas de sus publicaciones se han centrado en la práctica de la reconstrucción ‘post-bélica’ de estados, las formas de resistencia cotidiana, la interconexión entre el orden político micro y macro, y el análisis de patrones en las relaciones de poder durante procesos de guerra y paz. Actualmente su investigación aborda la creciente militarización de los procesos de construcción de paz.
Marta Iñiguez de Heredia holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to this position she was a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the Institute Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. She has taught in the United Kingdom, France and Australia, including at the University of Cambridge, the LSE, Queen Mary University, Queen’s University, Rouen (Neoma) Business School, Deakin University and La Trobe University. Her research interests intersect peace and conflict studies, African studies, historical sociology and practice theory in International Relations. From this perspective, she has written on the practice of ‘post-conflict’ statebuilding and everyday forms of resistance, examining the interconnection between micro and macro-level political orders, and the patterns of in power during war and peace processes. Her latest research explores the increasing militarisation of peacebuilding.
