An international Dual Degree is a programme developed by two universities (a Spanish and a foreign one) with a curriculum designed on the basis of mutual recognition and validation of the studies undertaken in each university. Thus, a student enrolled in the programme can obtain an official degree in the same subject (e.g. Law or Political Science) both in Spain (from the UAM) and in the country in which the foreign University is located.
Dual Degree Political Science degree UAM-SciencesPo Bordeaux
The Dual Degree Science Degree Collaboration Agreement UAM-SciencesPo Bordeaux offers a five year Franco-Spanish degree to students from both Universities. The curriculum includes in-depth study of both political-administrative cultures and is designed so that students acquire detailed knowledge of both political and social systems, in a European and international context. The subjects studied and skills acquired will afford graduates excellent prospects of pursuing professional careers both within the European institutions and in the French and Spanish public and private sectors.
After studying for five years, students are awarded, respectively: the UAM Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration, the Sciences Po Bordeaux diploma (equivalent to a Master’s degree) and the UAM Master’s Degree (if their fifth year of study has been in Madrid). Each year, places are available for a maximum of 10 UAM students and 10 from the IEP. Selection is on the basis of academic record, knowledge of the language and a personal interview. The French and Spanish students study the whole curriculum together, alternating periods in Bordeaux (first and third years) and Madrid (second and fourth years), having freedom to choose in which University to spend their fifth year.
Dual Degree degree UAM-Université Toulouse Capitole
The Dual Degree Collaboration Agreement UAM-Université Toulouse 1 Capitole (UT1) is designed to offer a four year Franco-Spanish degree to students from both Universities.
The curriculum is designed so that students acquire detailed knowledge of both legal systems, specialising in company law (business law).The subjects studied and skills acquired will afford graduates excellent prospects of pursuing professional careers in the French and Spanish market. After studying for four years, students are awarded, respectively: the UAM Law Degree, the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole Licence en Droit and the Master 1 en Droit de l’Entreprise, parcours droit des affaires.
Each year places are available for a maximum of 10 UAM students and 10 UT1 students. Selection is on the basis of academic record, knowledge of the language and a motivation letter. Students spend the first year of their studies in their university of origin (UAM), then the second and third years at the partner university (UT1) before concluding the fourth year at their university of origin (UAM).
Dual Degree UAM-Université Strasbourg (Unistra)
The Dual Law Degree Collaboration Agreement UAM-Unistra is designed to offer a four year Franco-Spanish degree to students from both Universities.
The curriculum is designed so that students acquire detailed knowledge of both legal systems, specialising in European Law. The subjects studied and skills acquired will afford graduates excellent prospects of pursuing professional careers in the French and Spanish public and private sectors and, in general, in an international and European context.
After studying for four years, students are awarded, respectively: the UAM Law Degree, the University of Strasbourg Licence en Droit, économie, gestion, mention Droit and the Maîtrise en droit, mention droits européens, spécialité droit comparé (niveau Master 1).
Each year, places are available for a maximum of 10 UAM students and 10 Unistra students. Selection is on the basis of academic record, knowledge of the language and a motivation letter.
Students study the whole curriculum together, spending the first two years in Madrid (UAM) and the third and fourth years in Strasbourg (Unistra).
