About the SGIC

Faculty of Science Building

The Faculty of Science of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, within the framework of the University's joint agreement for its integration in the European Higher Education Area, has started the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC) for Courses it teaches. The implementation of this system in the Faculty of Science is a responsibility shared by the entire organisation.

The ultimate goal of SGIC is to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of processes carried for each of the degrees taught by the Faculty. To do this, the SGIC has established the Quality Objectives and Policies, defined the composition, attributes and functioning of the Quality Assurance Committee and integrated and organised various structures, actions and instruments in a set of procedures:

• Evaluation and improvement procedures for teaching and teachers.
• Procedures for ensuring quality in internship training and mobility programs
• Analysis procedures for job placement of graduates and satisfaction with the education received.
• Analysis procedures for satisfaction of the various groups and attention to suggestions and complaints
