The UAM offers the Double Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering and Mathematics. Each year between 30 and 40 students enroll this highly appreciated Double Degree. Studying both degrees independently would require achieving 480 credits. However, the combined program makes it possible to obtain the two degrees over five years, by achieving a total of 360 credits, of which:
The objective of these studies is to provide high quality training for future professionals, who will have both the skill and the habit of abstract thought which characterizes Mathematics with the command of the theoretical base and computer applications, which characterize Computer Engineering.
The profile of the student of this Degree corresponds to a student with good mathematical training, a good habit of study, capacity to observe and organize, good spatial vision, imagination and creativity.
Upon the successful completion of the Double Degree program, the skills developed by the graduates open the access to multiple professional options in a variety of fields, such as information technologies, communication networks, advanced computer consulting, economics and finance, image processing, etc, as well as work related with research and development in many areas with mathematical and computer content. The Double Degree program prepares students to be confident programmers, with a strong background in mathematics.
