Farkhad Aliev received the M.S. and Ph.D degrees in physics from M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. He worked as a junior and then senior researcher at M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, visiting professor and research scientist with Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Katholieke University Leuven. From 1999 he works at the Faculty of Science at UAM where he created a research group MAGNETRANS specialized in magnetization dynamics and noise in magnetic and superconducting nanostructures (experiments and simulations). During these years, he has been teaching several graduate and postgraduate courses including Thermodynamics and Statistical physics, Mathematical methods of Physics III and Spintronics. He created Lab. courses for the Grad and Master students on ferromagnetic resonance (experiment and simulations) and thermal electronic noise. He has been director of 11 PhD theses. He is a co-author of more than 150 scientific publications indexed in Web of Science and 4 patents. He has presented more than 50 invited talks at international conferences and co-organized four international Schools and Conferences. Actually, he serves as associated editor for Scientific Reports. He is author of two books: on Noise in spintronics (2018) and on Problems in mathematical physics - Fourier method (2020).
