Specific Admission Requirements
The main goal of the Master's Program in Philosophical Critique and Argumentation is to provide students with the opportunity to obtain advanced training in the field of Philosophy, equipping them with the necessary tools to become competent professionals and researchers in issues related to theoretical reflection, both historically and in contemporary contexts. The program offers students the chance to expand their academic training and facilitates learning various critical-argumentative models from the philosophical tradition.
A distinctive feature of the Master's in Philosophical Critique and Argumentation is its interdisciplinary nature. It stands out as a project based on new formative, research, and cooperative principles. One of its objectives is to train professionals capable of successfully participating in debates on issues of theoretical and practical relevance and resolving conflicts in various institutions, whether public or private, including editorial houses, foundations, cultural management agencies, etc. To achieve this, the program incorporates a professional profile by including a practicum in institutions and companies. Another goal of the Master's is to prepare students for pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy.
Direct access to the program is open to students and professionals holding a Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Philosophy. Individuals with degrees in Arts and Humanities, Psychology, Law, Sociology, and Political Science are also eligible to apply. For those with other university degrees, the Coordinating Committee of the Master's program will propose resolutions for their applications.
