Admission Application
Applications for the Master's Degree will be carried out on-line through our admissions application. Before starting the admission process, we recommend you read the following information and follow the instructions provided at Admission step by step:
Specific access and admission requirements:
Documents to attach to applications
Mandatory documents:
- ID Card / Passport
- Academic certificate of degree study qualifications (1)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Declaration of average grade (2) [Mandatory for students who have not taken their access studies at UAM]
- Accreditation of knowledge of level B2 Spanish language [only mandatory for non-Spanish speaking foreign students]
Optional documents:

(1) The academic transcript must be translated if it is not in the Spanish language. It will not be necessary to translate documents if they are in English, French, Italian or Portuguese.
In the case of having taken Master’s/Doctoral studies, we recommend including them as additional documents to your application.
(2) If you have studied in Spain, you should attach a Certificate showing the average grade (on a scale of 0 to 10). If you have already studied at UAM, you will not need to submit this certificate.
If you have studied outside of Spain, you will need to submit the average grade equivalence issued by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (see section “related links”).
Admission Criteria
The Academic Coordination Committee will assess each admission application, taking into account the applicant’s previous qualifications and training. The selection criteria shall include an assessment of:
Academic transcript
|
50-75 %
|
Suitability of the applicant’s profile for the Master's Degree teachings
|
10-40 %
|
Other merits
|
5-15 %
|
Interviews may be held with applicants if this is considered to be appropriate.
Likewise, since teaching may be in English, a suitable command of the English language will be rated (level B2 or higher, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
Moreover, whenever necessary, the Committee will be responsible for establishing any Complementary Training that the candidates for this Master's Degree will need in accordance with their previous training.
Other requirements for students with non-EU qualifications
When you have been notified about your acceptance on the Master's Degree, and your acceptance is based on a university qualification issued by a higher education institution not belonging to the EHEA, you will need to legalize the qualification via diplomatic channels in order to formalize registration, or by means of a “Hague Convention Apostille”.
You can check these procedures in the pages on Legalization of foreign qualifications and Declaration of average grade.
If necessary, you may need to include an official translation into the Spanish language of this document.
