Mendeleev 2019 will give young chemists (below the age of 35 years) an opportunity to meet scientists and present their research from various fields of chemistry:

• Polymer science: the next generation
• New synthetic methodologies in organic and biomedical chemistry
• Computer modeling and cheminformatics
• Cost-effective analytical methods

International conference on chemistry “Mendeleev” at Saint Petersburg State University (SPbU) attracts more than 600 participants including world-leading scientists from the USA, Germany, Italy, France, UK, and Russia. Year 2019 has been proclaimed the "International

Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements" (IYPT2019) and ”Mendeleev-2019” is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Mendeleev’s Periodic table discovery.

It was in Mendeleev’s apartment at the main building of the SPbU, where he had been working for more than 30 years, that Mendeleev formulated the Periodic Law, and created the periodic system of elements. You are encouraged to visit the Memorial Apartment Museum of Dmitri Mendeleev at SPbU.
